Using Pinterest to Personalize Your Wedding Vision

Your wedding should be uniquely you....

Planning a wedding involves so many details, and keeping all your inspiration organized can be overwhelming. That’s why using Pinterest has been such an amazing tool for brides to create a personalized wedding vision board(s).

It is a total game-changer.

Why Pinterest is the Perfect Planning Tool

  • Keeps all your ideas, color schemes, and style preferences in one place.

  • Helps communicate your vision with your vendors, ensuring we’re all on the same page.

  • Easily shareable with your wedding party, photographer, and beauty team.

  • Has a wide variety of images to gather that are already at your fingertips to save or upload your own!

Creating a Personalized Pinterest Board

Having dedicated boards is key. A lot of brides just start dreaming and planning and have everything in one "Wedding" Board but by taking the time to really plan your organization for your wedding day can make decision-making so much easier.

You also change your mind on inspo the more you start getting into the planning process and by having smaller concise boards makes it easier to keep your inspo curated to your current vision as you can more easily add and delete pins that suite your wedding plans as you go!

For example, here are some idea's to start with!

  1. Main Wedding Board – Keep an overview of your aesthetic: venue style, decor, floral inspiration, and general mood. This is where you pin your current HIGHLIGHTS that you love. What gives you joy and inspires you for your wedding plans. It shouldn't be a mass dumping space for ALL the pins you've ever loved. Be mindful in this section.

  2. Bridal Beauty Board – Save makeup and hair looks you love, helping your artist craft your perfect wedding-day glam. Keep the makeup and hair boards separate so that when showing your inspo or referring back to at your trial you know that the look is inspo specifically for hair or specifically for eye makeup look etc....

  3. Bridesmaid Inspiration Board – Each bridesmaid can add their personal style preferences for hair and makeup, creating a unified yet individual look. This also is great for them to upload their own personal selfies of makeup and/or hair looks they've also had done in the past that are LOVES or DISLIKED.

  4. Photography Mood Board – Pin poses, lighting styles, and specific shots you want to ensure your photographer captures. Keep in mind that the wedding day time is limited and if there are particular "posed" images you love that those take more time than the more prompted casual snaps.

  5. Detail Shots & Accessories – From bouquet styles to veil placement, these pins help bring the finishing touches together. Again, separating these into different folders and being concise with your choices will be beneficial to both yourself in explaining your style preferences as well as your vendors understanding your vision better! Less is more sometimes.

  6. UNIQUENESS - having a board where you put some of the most unique things you love into that may be different to other weddings or on trend with your wedding theme. This is where you can dream. Be creative. Consider one of a kind options that bring your joy!

See slide show below for idea's of how to create a customized board for your bridal party's makeup and hair looks!

    - Create a public OR private Board.

    - Upload photo(s) of each of your Bridal Party who is included in makeup and hair services into their own private board to add their own inspo or if you want to give them guidance on looks you're wanting them to lean towards this works as a great jumping off point

    - organize as much or as little as you want in each of their boards. Can include dress color inspo, makeup intensity, hair styling if you have a particular vision for the looks for the day or leave it open for them to chose!

Share with your Bridal Party ( and vendors if you choose to create individual inspo boards for decor, floral, photography inspo, ect...)

Once your board is set up and curated as much or as little as you like, share it with your bridal party to start filling with their inspo ideas AND with me so I can fully understand your vision ahead of time. This allows us to plan and customize your wedding-day beauty and photography experience without last-minute stress.

It also allows for easier consult and communication with your bridal party on the wedding day without wasted time of having to start the consult from scratch on a time sensitive day.

Let’s Turn Your Pinterest Dreams Into Reality!

Whether you’re still piecing ideas together or have your full inspiration board ready, I’m here to help bring your vision to life. Let’s create a wedding day that’s uniquely YOU!
