1. The Reverie – Lantzville, BC
An intimate, unique but modern at-home wedding venue in Central Vancouver Island without needing to use your own home! Offering Pop-up Elopements with Candice Deanna | Makeup | Hair | Photography | starting in June 2025.
The Reverie is a 3,400 sq. ft. modern Scandi-style home set atop a forested hilltop with panoramic views of the Salish Sea. Ideal for micro-weddings, it accommodates up to 30 guests and includes overnight stays for 12. The venue boasts indoor and outdoor spaces, a massive balcony, and a cozy fire pit, providing a serene and intimate atmosphere.
PERKS: This property has multiple beautiful spaces to host your intimate Micro Wedding or Elopement with on location accommodation just outside of Nanaimo. Surrounded by dramatic mountain ranges, Comox Glacier views, and the old-growth forests of Strathcona Park, Mt. Washington is the most sought-after Vancouver Island wedding destination.
Perched amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Strathcona Provincial Park, Raven Lodge provides a picturesque alpine setting for weddings. With vaulted ceilings and panoramic views of the Salish Sea and snow-capped mountains, it's ideal for couples seeking a mountain backdrop. 3. Itty Bitty Acres by Puska Properties – Yellow Point, BC
Petting Hobby Farm meets Wedding Venue, a easy destination for off island visitors with close proximity to Nanaimo Airport and Ferry's to the Mainland.
Nestled in the serene Yellow Point area south of Nanaimo, Itty Bitty Acres offers a rustic and intimate setting. The venue features a 2,700 sq. ft. frame tent atop a synthetic lawn, accommodating up to 170 guests. Amenities include a custom bar area and a luxurious two-stall restroom trailer, all overlooking a tranquil pond. We all love a step van and they have the option to rent their converted adorable ice-cream van for on location cool treats on a hot summer day.

Family friendly vibes with oversized game rentals, on site cute farm animals, barn style airbnb accommodation on site for morning getting ready for the bride and a beautiful garden and green house for a picturesque backdrop. 4. Nanoose Bay Café and Marina – Nanoose Bay, BC
Modern Look meets Marina Feel, a untraditional location that offers so much versatility for catering, accommodation and a stunning indoor reception space with views of the marina and ocean while you dine and dance the night away.
For those dreaming of a waterfront wedding, Nanoose Bay Café offers a marina-side venue with stunning ocean views. The café can host events for up to 150 guests and provides flexible event packages, on-site accommodations, and catering with fresh, local ingredients.
PERKS: With a large amount of on-site accommodation this is a perfect location for out of towner's coming to Vancouver Island for their mini destination wedding or non-local guests to stay close to the action. With a capable catering, event and bartending staff they can customize your wedding based on your preferences with ease. The space is modern not kitschy with it's nods to the on location Marina in decor and is a close 6 minute drive to Moorcroft Regional Park if you're wanting some stunning photo spots not in the Marina!
5. Brannen Lake Estates – Nanaimo, BC
A Multi-Generational Property with multiple unique spaces for your ceremony style this is a property with options! Thinking of eloping or having a offseason micro wedding? "The Runaway Barn" is available for bookings all year round.
Located on the edge of Nanaimo, Brannen Lake Estates is a rustic venue featuring sprawling fields, lake views, and a romantic ambiance. It's perfect for intimate weddings and elopements, offering a serene natural setting that will leave a lasting impression on guests.
PERKS: Whether its vows on the dock at Brannen Lake, Intimate Forest Ceremony, up to 120 guest seating on hand crafted wooden benches on the viewpoint field overlook the lake or a cozy & romantic scene in the Runaway Barn, Brannen Lake Estates has you covered. With an on property staging suite for bridal makeup and hair prep or a intimate quiet moment between you and your significant other there is a space for everything on your wedding day here. Located on the outskirts of Nanaimo this is an easy access location from the ferry or local couples to choose as their venue.
. Taku Resort – Quadra Island, BC
West Coast Wild on Quadra, less sought out as a wedding venue but well worth the trip for an extended weekend stay on one of the most beautiful Islands off Vancouver Island. Perfect for Mid to Upper Island couples who want Tofino-esque forest and ocean vibes without going to Tofino.
Taku Resort provides an idyllic seaside setting for both traditional and barefoot weddings. With accommodations for up to 75 guests, the resort offers on-site lodging, making it convenient for destination weddings. Guests can enjoy activities like paddleboarding and beachcombing, enhancing the overall experience.

With a stunning outdoor ceremony space right on the property and close proximity to Heriot Bay Inn for additional camping, accommodation and indoor reception options for both catering and bar, this hidden gem is one of my personal favorite venues.
